Can We Use PG's Facilities To Earn Money?

Just received this comment below from a new resident of Pearl Garden and his or her questions are quite valid. Can GE Tan and MC comment on this? I am keen to know the answers too. Thank you very much.

Hello Jimmy,

Nice to meet you.

I’m curious to know whether we can use the facilities of PG’s club-house (like swimming pool, Gym room, Aerobic room, squash court) to earn side-income? Is there any rule/law in PG’s handbook describe the Do & Don’t?

Sometime I observed we do have Yoga-course, swimming course or other courses which I believe is not organized by PG right (I do see some outsiders coming to join the courses). hence, it triggers me to think whether we can use these facilities for business purposes.

If yes, what is the condition?

Rgs,

Resident from Block C

  1. Hi Resident Block C,

Here is the reply from the management on the above issue.

    Jimmy,

We do not encourage resident to make use of common facility to make side income. Management need to review the request from case to case.
We approved Yoga class previously for PG residents. If there is not enough students from PG to form the class, we allow outsider to join the session. Every class must have at least 1 PG resident and the fees paid by resident must be lower than outsider.
    Tuition is definitely not allowed.
Pls ask the person interested to conduct the class to submit their proposal to management for approval.

  2. Gan,

Do we have the house rules ready? If available, the residents could refer to it.

  5. Hi Ping,

You are so lucky leh...I am a keen tennis, squash player...and also looking for players...if you want to play, give me a call...

I think for the game which requires two to play, in deed a partner is necessary whether his or she is from outside...tak kan we play tennis alone and whack the wall like orang gila.

I believe if our friends obey the rules and regulation of PG, no problem wor...

Ping, did you invite Lee Jr or not? Belum cuba, belum tahu...

  10. I agree to Gan’s comment. I think the core purpose of the common facilities is only for PG Residents and their accompanied guest and not for commercial by individual or management. Sorry, correct me if I am wrong. Thank you.

In fact, it should be free for all PG residents but however a small token charge for facilities/equipment rental is reasonable to ensure confirmation on the booking and some assurances and accountability from the “normal” people using it. Incomes derived from this are insufficient to exempt us from paying RM135 or reduce it to RM80.
Unless this cat is allowed to open a “cat-house” at the former show-unit then maybe the income will be enough….ummm, is it a good idea??? LOL

    Jimmy,

You fit the description, the stubby type???? Oh…anyway, please do not confuse nice people like Ping or her friends regarding the games or activities.
When playing solitaire squash, (not tennis) you whack the wall with your balls, it will return to you. For solitaire tennis, you whack your balls at where God knows; it will not return to you…you need to pick them up yourself later. One more thing, you forgot to say how good you are at bedminton or is it bownling? Is it belum cuba, belum tahu, sudah cuba, lagi mahu??

Also, you did not tell Ping that whoever is over 21, do not need permission to do anything, whether here at PG or anywhere else. Just book and secure the place for the activities.
BTW, all using the PG swimming pool should be in the proper swimming attire, outsider has one advantage though, and they can do so in their birthday suit…. Jimmy, people wish to see you in trunks ley.....LOL

  23. Ping,

Too young ah? Wei, what age range are you looking for?

Will be back from Beijing this Friday and probably stay at home. Need to do some real exercise to trim down the tummy. Eating too much aredi..LOL

  24. Jimmy,

Since Jr. Lee seems elusive, maybe Ping’s friend would like to consider giving Uncle Lee a shot? He has been available for quite some time now. Ask Ping to check it out with her friend, probably this could be her second preference.
Tell her, Uncle Lee is like “Ginseng”, the older it gets, the better it becomes, potently.

Ping’s friend could be indebted to you for life for discovering this treasure.
What say you, wanna take a chance? Come on….make it happen, man….LOL

  28. Man, had no idea what was happening here... What lee hom la? Most people who just met me normally say that, but I definitely don't look like him upon closer scrutiny. Anyways, Jimmy et al, do drop me a message whenever you're interested in getting your pert tummy back :P

  29. Hi Vincent,

  30. Hi Vincent,

So, my earlier assumption why your car was scratched is correct because you look like “Lee Hom”, right?? Now you know who is the vandal??? Answer: Ping’s friend after finding out you are “Lee Hom” but felt disappointed as you are too young and not stocky….LOL

Ok, jokes aside, please share with us the set of exercise or diet that people need to retain tummy pertness. Can you write it here in the blog?

    Hi Ping,

You have told us the reasons why a man over 30 is still not married; do you mind also telling us the reasons for women????.....LOL

  31. Cat,

    Interesting.....Ping any answer ah?

    ReplyDelete
  32. Cat, I'm no gym expert or anything, in fact, I don't exercise a whole lot and I have a body comparable to that of a lamp post, but I guess the general rule of thumb is the more you exercise, the more calories you burn and 'hopefully' the more fat you lose (preferably around the tummy area) :P

    ReplyDelete
  33. Vincent,

OIC....I thought you got a six-pack tummy. People like Jimmy and me got a tummy due to six-pack, that's the difference...shit! Right, Jimmy?....LOL

    Nice talking to you.
