Yellow Chain Gang Strikes Again


I really don't know whether to laugh or cry. First, the famous "yellow chain" was removed to many residents' relieve. I have to thank some of the residents who confronted the "tidak apa" attitude SC about this and finally it knock some bloody sense into whoever is holding the portfolio.

Now, we thought, "Ok, lah, now that the yellow chain is removed, it will force the security guards to act accordingly by stopping people from parking their vehicles there, but now, the guards themselves are parking their cars there, KNN, WTF!.

Above are some photos taken by a resident showing the same guard's car parked at the "restricted" zone on the 23rd and 24th Nov 2009.

This evening as I was returning back from dinner, the freaking car was still parked there at around 10:30pm.

So, the enforcer is violating the law. Maybe residents should stick the "No parking" stickers onto the car from front to back and on the SC's face too.

  1. The "Yellow Chain" is gone in front of the Guard house... Mean the PRIVATE CAR PARK for our friend KANA is back... today (24Nov2009)@8pm, when I was driving home, I saw our friend get back to his PRIVATE CAR PARK...
    I wonder whether our MC do discussion with the security company regarding this issue or not? or How can we ensure that KANA aware of what he suppose NOT to DO? Can we request the MC to remove this guy from our Pearl Garden Security, as he can not make himself fit to what we expecting... HOW HOW HOW can we get the solve once and for all. Is there any procedure or requirement for MC, so that they can proceed with the proper discussion with security company to remove the guy? What form/document that we need to fill in? or we need to get mojority resident to sign on this? Just do let us know, we definately will work to it to ensure we can make something happen to what we don't like or it not suppose to be happen in Pearl Garden.

    I think he is trying to create some kind of "trouble" by parking his car there and create dissatisfaction among the residents. So, when there are complains, the yellow chain will be installed again.

    Or, just a silly presumption here, maybe, maybe the SC was so pissed off that he had to remove the chain and instructed the security guard to purposely park his car there, just to piss us off...hmmmm maybe.....

    If the security co is not able to follow instruction , we could change the co as well together with all the guards.

    I overheard some discussions in mgt office that Security company over-charged PG for Kanan's attendance. PG was charged for everyday of the month when sometimes he doesn't come. GE Tan is not able to track his working hours due to special approval by MC for him to come to work anytime as he wishes. WTF is all these. Is MC getting kickbacks? Can we report to the Polis for CBT? Can someone please check with a lawyer.
    Can residents audit the accounts?

    You have to wait for AGM to sack the whole MC before you can remove your dear fren KANA (Kanan). Complaints submitted to management will get no action. Ask Jimmy. Maybe we should try to find out who is the GREAT MAN who went to Yeo Ah Bah's unit to ask for removal of yellow chain.
    We can elect him as new MC Chairman. The current one is boh lam pha & hopeless!

  7. Let me put it to you all like-minded neighbours who read this blog very bluntly and straight to the point!!!
    I really do not wish to repeat the quality, competencies and the understanding of their roles as our MC who volunteered and were elected by the minority in PG during the last AGM but only the key words to identify with this issue only.

    Ans: The MC lack leadership and management skills and cannot comprehend the fundamentals. They do not know WTF they are supposed to do.

    Ans: Bingo!!! Maybe the MC just want to prove that the first idiotic action they took is correct. There you go… egoistic and feudal mentality…uh???

    Ans: No, I disagree. First we have to confirm whether the guards are acting on their own or the root cause may be that the MC gave inappropriate instruction as there is no security procedure or do not give any instruction at all.

    Ans: Valid suggestions. To solve the problem – change the MC. Auditor in MC should conduct an audit and raise the flag if there is any discrepancy. Lawyer in MC should proceed with the charge if necessary to reclaim back the over payment with other interests.

    Ans: Confused again. All the while I thought that MC is also a resident first before they can volunteer to become MC and other residents vote them in to represent them to tell the employees, meaning GE Tan and Security Co what we need. The lawyer therefore is acting for the residents and not for the MC against the residents because we are paying for the lawyer’s fees not the MC own $$$ from their pockets or am I wrong?

    Oh. The no-time lawyer ah? Fuck him men. I should not have engaged him to do my strate title. Why he want to be MC? To get more business?

    OSK, can you give your email to Jimmy? We can't wait until AGM. Most residents are lazy to attend AGM and the MCs will again vote themself in. We need to compile all problems and circulate to all residents and call EGM. Like MCA ma! Otherwise those MC are very thick skin. Even a bulldozer cannot get rid of them.

  11. If i am not mistaken, i think i saw 2 times that peachy kelisa at penang bridge toll after work... comes from prai to island.. and that time it was about 5:40pm.. BTW, what time they should report to work then?

  13. Aiya, why PG's residents so naive? Working for god father. Where got time one? Suka suka come to clock in to show show face then go makan angin and shopping, then come again to clock out and show face again. You must go find a god father in your company then you can do like that lor. LOL.

  14. Actually I also don't know who is the MC? Does he really stay here, or he just bought the place, and stay here once a week or a month. I could not understand why he don't really aware of all these issues? And If YES, how come he did not take any action? Is the MC only one person or is a group of residents? Since we have the GE TAN managing the place, can we just write an official complaint for them to take the action? Is it a must to have MC to act on this, can we all move without him?

    MC is consist of a group of residents who were "voted" in to care for the well being of Pearl Garden and residents.

    I have observed from far (actually from my unit) how their MC meeting went across the club house.

    While in the middle of the meeting, some of them just left..so, tell me if this is an indication of "ponteng" meeting.

    I have the opinion that residents in Pearl Garden are to be blamed too. During AGM, residents did not participate, so for those who came, selected themselves and that is why PG is in such a mess.

    GE Tan is also giving up, because they are afraid to bring up the residents' complaints to the MC, so, no complaint, no action......GE Tan personnel were scolded by MCs and they are really fed up...
